While the kitchen maintains a firm approach to menu consistency—poached eggs, for instance, can’t be swapped for scrambled—the quality and flavor more than compensate. Service can get a bit stretched during busy times, but genuine transparency and thoughtful follow-up from the staff turned any small hiccups into positive experiences.
For those looking to enjoy both hearty breakfast classics and inventive, globally inspired dishes in a bright, clean, and inviting atmosphere, Butterwhisk Brunch House stands out as a thoughtful choice in Austin’s dynamic brunch scene. Whether you settle in for a leisurely morning plate or a satisfying lunch, the flavors here strike a perfect chord between comforting nostalgia and creative flair that’s well worth exploring.
We tried Butterwhisk Brunch House for breakfast. There was plenty of seating available. Seated promptly by friendly staff. There was a wide selection of breakfast items. We have the Mediterranean Omelette and Biscuit and gravy with eggs and hash browns. Both were quite tasty. They have a fairly extensive lunch menu as well. I don’t think they care open for dinner. I think it worth checking out.
Restaurant was clean and well kept. Hostess and servers/bussers are attentive. Food was great, huge plate! Most places I feel like I’m burning cash for the amount of food they’re serving, definitely not the case here. Would come back if in the area again.
The food was pretty good. The place does not allow changes to food, so if it came with poached eggs you can’t get scrambled instead. Their mocktails were great and so was the fresh orange juice.
Long wait for our waiter after we were seated but I appreciated him apologizing and letting us know how overwhelmed he was because it was busy.. I appreciate genuine honesty.. with that said, food was delicious and mistakes were corrected as well.. my coffee was watered down and it was taken care of and follow up was a plus..
Came for lunch and left satiated. I wanted to go to a local spot. It's cute and quaint. We had Rob, and he was great. We got a Philly Steak bowl and a traditional breakfast with a detox juice. The juice was heavy on the Ginger with a zing. The pancakes were light and fluffy with crispy edges, which included the most crispy, succulent bacon. The bowl was trash as it's not cubed steak but Steak'ums, and the hash browns were burned to a crisp. I wouldn't nab it again. I hope it was a one-off day.
We walked in with a large party without a reservation and everyone was so accommodating and welcoming despite the fact that they should have been frothing with hate. Our waitress was so nice and the food was excellent.
Fantastic Breakfast Experience at Butter Whisk Brunch House! I recently had the pleasure of dining at Butter Whisk Brunch House, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and friendly service, setting the tone for a delightful meal. The atmosphere at Butter Whisk is cozy and inviting, with charming decor that creates a welcoming ambiance. Despite it being Easter and crowded, my party and I were seated promptly, thanks to the efficient staff. Now, onto the food! I ordered the combo with eggs over easy and French toast, and every bite was a delight. The eggs were cooked to perfection, and the French toast was simply divine – fluffy on the inside and perfectly golden on the outside. My wife opted for the Monte Cristo sandwich, which she thoroughly enjoyed. What truly sets Butter Whisk apart is not just the delicious food, but the attention to detail and quality of ingredients. Each dish was presented beautifully and tasted even better than it looked. Overall, my experience at Butter Whisk Brunch House was nothing short of fantastic.
